Meaningful connections are the key to international cooperation, networks, and global success. We connect companies and students through meaningful projects and research cooperations. With decades of experience in transatlantic cooperation, we translate short and long-term projects into learning objectives and measurable outcomes. Our global mentors are experts in their fields. Our affiliated companies are led by entrepreneurs committed to sharing their knowledge and working with students on projects driven by ZWIFLY® curated learning opportunities.

FELIX, 21

Felix recently changed his major from Biology to Psychology and would like to pursue a PhD. During the summer, Felix lives at home with his parents in New York City. Felix contacts three research laboratories to gain summer research experience. Felix never heard back from Laboratory 1 and 2 and Laboratory 3 had no openings. Felix contacted his college mentor, Prof. Sommer, for advice. Professor Sommer suggested, ZWIFLY®.

Felix discusses his career goals with a ZWIFLY® global mentor. Felix discusses his interest in autism. ZWFILY® connects Felix with an affiliate company in Germany which develops digital diagnostic tools in the health care industry. Felix completes a remote project with the company as he fulfills learning outcomes designed by ZWIFLY®. The project has two supervisors, one from Columbia University and the other from industry.

Felix is connected. Before pursuing graduate school, Felix decides to move to Germany to work with the ZWIFLY® Affiliate Company on a longer-term project.

I recommend ZWIFLY® to students so that they are exposed to various fields. Being able to read the research literature and see it applied is a huge advantage. It is helpful for those selecting a major or deciding to go to grad school or attempting to work in the field. I wish I had this experience as an undergraduate.”

Steffie is a recent college graduate from Germany. She was music minor and a business major. She also loves working with children. Now she is thinking about starting her own business. Steffie decides to expand her international network and gain experience abroad. However, she decides first to make relevant connections in the US.
